According to the World Health Organization more than 300 million people suffer from some form of depression. About one in ten Americans take an antidepressant, now the most commonly prescribed drug in the United States. There are a variety of drugs prescribed to address depression. Opinions vary on how effective certain drugs are in relieving its manifestations. A JAMA report published recently showed that many drugs work best for very severe cases. And, of course you can find a multitude of opinions on that statement.
