Losing the Art of Intimate Conversation

In the UK and elsewhere the number of digital conversations has overtaken the intimacy of two people actually speaking face to face or on the phone. Texts and emails have affected relationships in many ways. LifeSearch reports that the number of face to face conversations has decreased by 15 percent in the last five years. Contributing factors: Many people work from home and some individuals find it less time consuming if they can hit the send button. Fourteen percent of us feel happier communicating digitally. The more people use digital communications, the more interpersonal communication skills decline.
