Mental Health Providers Need to Know

The new Medicare ID system went into effect on New Years Day. A beneficiary’s social security number will no longer be accepted by Medicare. Avoid delays in processing Medicare claims. The annual deductible for all Medicare Part B beneficiaries is $198 in 2020, an increase of $13 from last year.

Sound Advice for Your Mental Health Practice

When seeing patients for the first time in the New Year it is a good practice to ask if they have been notified of any plan benefit changes.  In addition, you should ask for a copy of any new insurance card. A group number or some other information on the card may have changed and we want to avoid any delay in processing claims for payment.

COBRA and Your Mental Health Practice

A COBRA plan gives people who may have lost their job time to find a new position with insurance without losing their current coverage (there are time constraints). In most cases the benefits remain the same. There could be exceptions and addresses for claims may be different. Best Bet-contact Associated Billing Center, LLC when a patient converts to COBRA so claims can be processed in a timely manner without disruption.
